Booking Conditions and Terms of Trade:
Itinerary – When you receive your itinerary, please ensure all names and titles match entries in your passport(s).
Check dates and timings. Errors need to be advised immediately, otherwise they will become your responsibility.
Deposit – We require a deposit of $100 per person when making reservations. Tour operators, car hire companies and other service providers will require additional deposits. All deposits are non-refundable.
Final Payment – Due not less than 4 weeks before departure unless otherwise stated. Some service providers require immediate payment.
Taxes – Your airfare quote includes taxes and fees at time of reservation, but these may change at any time until payment is received in full. Some airports charge additional local taxes.
Documentation – Generally documents will be posted or will be ready for collection 2 weeks prior to departure. This may vary depending on your individual arrangements.
Changes - cancellations, re-bookings and amendments will require fees, charged by the agency, or service providers, or both. The level of fees varies widely, from a nominal amount to 100% cancellation fee. Please ask your consultant what level of fees will apply in your specific case.
Travel Insurance – we strongly recommend to take out travel insurance. We can offer travel insurance for a wide range of situations, including for mature travellers over 85 years of age. If you believe you have already arranged insurance (e.g. through payment by credit card), please check conditions carefully if you are covered for the risks relevant to your trip.
Passport – please ensure your passport has at least 6 months validity beyond the date of your return.
Visas – if you need Visas, we will assist you in obtaining those, but it is your responsibility to make sure you have the right visa(s) for your trip. We can assist you in obtaining visas, fees do apply for this service.

Travel Advice – please contact the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) or visit www.smartraveller.gov.au
Agent – Global Active Travel acts as agent only, for airlines, tour operators, car hire companies, cruise companies, hotels and other wholesale service providers. We make bookings on your behalf, and contracts are between you and the relevant service provider. All bookings are made subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability of service providers. If for any reason the service provider is unable to provide the services booked your remedy lies against the provider.
Liability – We do not accept liability for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by force majeure or any other event which is beyond our control or is not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part.
Credit Card Payments – charges may apply when paying by credit card. If for any reason any travel service provider is unable to provide the service you have paid for, your remedy lies against that provider and not against Global Active Travel. In case payments are made to Global Active Travel and subsequently passed on to the service provider, you agree that you will not seek to charge back your payment to Global Active Travel.
